Are Imported Cars Less Safe?
We hear this question often – and the clear answer is: No. Imported vehicles are just as safe as cars bought in Switzerland, as long as the import is handled correctly and the vehicle properly inspected. In fact, the Swiss MFK ensures that no unsafe vehicle is registered on Swiss roads.
The MFK as a Quality Guarantee
The Swiss roadworthiness test is one of the strictest vehicle inspection procedures in Europe. Every imported vehicle must pass before it can be registered. Safety-related defects in brakes, steering, lighting or suspension require immediate rectification.
Euro NCAP and International Safety Standards
German vehicles are built to the same European safety standards as Swiss vehicles. Euro NCAP crash test results apply equally across all markets.
Important: Headlight Adaptation for Right-Hand Traffic
A concrete safety issue with imports: European vehicles have asymmetric low-beam headlights designed for left-hand traffic. In Switzerland (right-hand traffic), these must be adapted. Wilson handles this as part of the import process.

Wilson Autohandel checks the accident history for every vehicle and gives you full transparency on the vehicle's condition.
